Carlos
Computer Science student at the University of Maryland Global Campus, CompTIA Security+ certified, and a self-taught home-lab enthusiast who applies what I learn to real infrastructure and real websites.
background
Computer Science student and homelab enthusiast building secure websites, self-hosted services, and practical IT projects.
I build and secure self-hosted infrastructure at home — Raspberry Pi servers running WireGuard, Wazuh, Pi-hole, and Fail2ban — and carry the same security mindset into the web apps I build, hardening auth, sessions, and headers rather than treating security as an afterthought.
Currently studying Computer Science at UMGC, and applying what I learn about software and systems to hands-on security work outside the classroom — home-lab infrastructure, network monitoring, and web app hardening.
